SUMMARY The W3 Team is tasked with supporting Shimano s global consumer products websites and e-commerce applications and this position is a key team member
Responsibilities:
Maintenance of the latest patches, upgrades, and updates to server environment DNS maintenance and administration vSphere Management Documentation of changes made to infrastructure Oversight of all systems and platforms via tools like Nagios, Puppet, Chef and Munin After Hours On-Call Availability
Qualifications:
Knowledge, experience and understanding of the following areas are necessary to be successful in this position Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and judgment skills Strong written analysis skills including technical documentation Knowledge of MS SQL Server and mySQL Windows Server knowledge including deployment, permissions and security Linux Server experience including deployment, configuration, permissions and security Familiarity in supporting remote servers over all available methods:
FTP, SSH, Telnet, VPN, RDP, tmux, etc.
Knowledge of Web security, load balancing and caching in relation to Apache Knowledge of TCP/IP networking Proficiency in project planning for upgrades and implementations, including tools to support the plans such as Project and Visio Troubleshooting skill for servers and laptops across a mix of operating systems (Sports Media, Graphics, Web, IT) Source:
