General Position Description:
Assisting tile setters in the process of installing tile from start to finish of a project.
To learn the routine of tile finishing/setting and to fully learn the skill of the trade to progress in the company.
III.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions 1.
On site Performing tasks of a Tile Finisher 95-100% of time spent i.
Mixing materials, including but not limited to mud and grout.
ii.
Carrying two buckets at a time filled with tools or materials.
iii.
Washing and cleaning tools, and tile installation.
iv.
Cutting wire v.
Cutting angles on a tile saw vi.
The ability to handle and complete multiple tasks without leaving any one task incomplete before beginning the next.
vii.
Arriving to work on time, and meeting the required attendance policy of Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
Work hours include, but are not limited to 5:

to 4:
00 p.
m.
Monday through Saturday.
Days worked and Hours vary per project and workload.

Safe and Lawful Driving of Company vehicles 5-10% of time spent ii.
Driving in accordance to all rules and policies of Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
5.
Loading/Unloading Trucks 5% of time spent i.
Loading trucks with tile, tools, and materials needed to perform tasks assigned.
ii.
Unloading trucks of tile, tools, and materials from the truck on the job site, or in the warehouse.
100% of time spent i.
Constantly representing Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
and American Ceramic and Supply, Inc.
in a highly respectful and professional manner.
ii.
Working efficiently and cooperatively with co-workers at all times.
iii.
Taking tasks/directions from the Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
persons specified under Position reports to.
7.
Other duties as assigned 0-50% of time spent i.
Appropriate assigned duties from any supervisor the position reports to.
IV.
Knowledge and Skills Required 1.
Math Skills- Ability to calculate basic math (fractions, multiplications, adding, and subtracting) and apply math skills to calculate square footage measurements into boxes and pieces of tile, or vise versa with multiple sizes of tiles.
2.
Safe and lawful driving at all times of Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
trucks, including the large utility delivery truck.
3.
Ability to effectively communicate using English skills including:
reading, speaking, comprehending, taking and mediating directions from co-workers.
4.
Moving, Lifting up to 95 lbs.
, and standing for long periods of time.
5.
Ability to read measurements from a Measuring tape.

Responsibility 1.
Report to and follow directions of the Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
crew leaders, setters, and all Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
supervisors in an efficient and highly professional manner.
3.
Purchase of own tools to perform the duties applied for.
VI.

Must have the ability to learn quickly.

Must have the ability to complete job paperwork.

Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Installation Crews i.
Being a part of a crew and being able to work with other crews on the same project, without conflict.
2.
Warehouse Co-Workers i.
Follow all rules and policies of the warehouse with the assistance of warehouse personnel, without conflict.
ii.
Receiving deliveries of tile and materials on the job-site from warehouse personnel without conflict.
3.
Office Personnel i.
Working with office personnel to comply with all polices and to ensure that the highest quality of service is given to the customer through office-installation communication and teamwork, without conflict.
4.
Customers i.
Representing Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
in a highly professional manner to all customers that may be on the job-site or in the office.
5.
Other Trade Crews i.
Professionally working on job-sites with other crews not employed by Visalia Ceramic Tile, Inc.
without conflict.
VIII.
Environment 1.
Physical Requirements i.
Ability to lift and carry up to 95 lbs.
ii.
Standing, Bending and Sitting for long periods of time during duties.
iii.
Duties completed in an out doors weather conditioned environment.
2.
Work Environment i.
Communication and task completion in on job sites with 1 or more co-workers.
iv.
Communication and assistance with warehouse and office personnel.
Warehouse and Office co-workers:
15 or more Minimum Qualifications 1.
High school Graduation or GED 2.
Ability to read measurements from a measuring tape or ruler.
3.
California Driver's License with no more than 2 points on driving record at any time.
4.
Approval by State to work on State or Federal Projects.
5.
