The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial statement preparation, month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal controls.
The Director of Finance will also be responsible for assisting in external audits and monitoring cash flow to ensure the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including managing a team of accountants and finance professionals.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Prepare and post journal entries as needed.
Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of the balance sheet.
Assist in external audits, providing support and documentation as needed.
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Monitor cash flow and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on financial matters.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment and support organizational goals.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive and financially sound.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical industry.
Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, month-end, and year-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal controls.
Experience with external audits and financial reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
