Provide technical leadership to a team of mechanical engineers and drafters in the design of new products and improvements to Standard machine design.
Responsible for communicating with other department such as electrical engineers, sales staff and debug department in an effort to fully understand the scope of any project.
Responsible for assigning department staff to various projects and for ensuring design schedules are made and met.
Responsible for recommending hiring and termination of staff in the department based on company needs and employee performance.
Responsible for creating and updating Engineering standards.
Responsible for personnel issues in ME department including employee performance appraisals and handling personnel problems.
Work closely with upper management on design concepts of sold machine and future R&D machines.
Lead design reviews with engineers Including Mechanical and Electrical engineering Kick Off/Final Design Review and Customer Design Review Including concept reviews to ensuring the machine concept is solid.

yrs experience in related field Excellent understanding of AutoCAD and Solidworks CAD Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred Strong mechanical background and aptitude Ability to manage multiple people and projects at once Ability to understand requirements from a URS and convert them into design ideas Be able to demonstrate inventiveness and originality/forward thinking Ability to plan, organize and prioritize Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively convey engineering priorities and concepts to all levels of the organization.
