The Project Manager will work on affordable housing development projects throughout the eight county service territory.
Responsibilities include:
assisting in the selection of sites for future affordable housing development, including:
market research, financing proformas, operating budgets, environmental review, due diligence, and risk assessment.
The Project Manager will coordinate (Project Tech will assist with) all aspects of development, including involvement with the selection of the design team and general contractors, application for project funding including tax credits and other housing sources, construction management and coordination with the mutual self-help housing program and/or the asset management team.
Qualifications should include the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, experience with budget management and development proformas, ability to problem solve and brainstorm creative solutions in challenging situations, and general construction/real estate development experience.
4-year degree or equivalent experience required at the Project Manager level.
Must be able to work independently and as a team member, be detail-oriented and maintain confidentiality of information.
The ability to work effectively on multiple projects with tight deadlines is essential.
Successful applicants will be self-starters and will demonstrate strong computer (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Powerpoint, etc.
) skills.
Depending of skill, education, and experience the right candidate may be hired at either the Assistant Project Manager or any level of Project Manager (1, 2, Sr.
).
