Responsibilities:
- Train dogs using positive reinforcement techniques to modify behavior and teach commands - Develop training plans tailored to each dog's specific needs and goals - Conduct individual and group training sessions with dog owners - Provide guidance and support to dog owners on proper handling and training techniques - Monitor and assess the progress of dogs in training programs - Maintain accurate records of training sessions and client information Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, learning theory, and training methods - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and their dogs - Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations - Ability to adapt training techniques to different breeds, ages, and temperaments of dogs - Physical stamina for handling large or energetic dogs during training sessions - Experience with pet grooming, kennel management, customer service, or pet sitting is a plus
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience training dogs - Valid driver's license - 18 years or older with a high school diploma - Experience training dogs using force free training methods - Reliable transportation Note:
This job may require heavy lifting at times when handling larger dogs or moving equipment.
