Registered Nurse
POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to protect and promote health, prevent illness and injury, and alleviate suffering through nursing diagnosis and treatment. Demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting through oversight of the interdisciplinary health care team to provide holistic care and advocate for patients and families served.
QUALIFICATIONS
License /Certification
Required:
CA RN license
BLS
Education
Preferred:
BSN, MSN, or currently enrolled in RN-BSN program.
Experience
Preferred:
One or more years of experience as an RN in an acute hospital setting or recent experience as an RN in a critical care unit.
Department Specific Requirements
CCRN from American Association of Critical-Care Nurses preferred.
NIHSS stroke certification from American Stroke Association preferred.
ACLS preferred.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) provider card preferred.
